Stone Army Cadets at the First World War centenary service

The Army Cadets have a long history of supporting the local community in Stone, with events such as the Civic Parade, poppy collection, Remembrance Sunday and even building the town’s bonfire each year at Westbridge Park. The Cadets were involved in the recent First World War centenary service in Stonefield Park.

The Army Cadet Force is open to boys and girls aged 12 to 18 and is a youth organisation which primarily focuses on learning military skills including fieldcraft, navigation, drill and shooting. However, cadets have lots of other activities and opportunities, including a range of adventures training, sport and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
