Stone author’s book launch with a difference!

Stone author Graham Nolan could only really have the launch party for his new book in one place – the pub where he’s spent the last three years writing it!

The second instalment of Graham’s ‘Retinue’ Medieval adventure trilogy – called A Bloodied Kingdom – was celebrated at The Three Crowns with the help of Equine Stunt Productions. There was a sword-fighting demonstration on the pub car park, and children got to try on helmets!

The book follows a group of men from Stone who are called up by the Earl of Stafford in the early 15th century. Over 1,000 sales have been clocked up on the Amazon Kindle store in November alone.

Graham said: “The pub was packed and the fantastic turnout reflects the support I’ve received from the bar staff and regulars throughout the period that I’ve been writing the Retinue books. I spent a couple of hours a night at the pub writing this second book. I’d take my laptop along and settle in. It’s a great place to write.”
