Midlands MTB is celebrating 3 years of providing Stone with e-bikes, mountain bikes, and bike servicing from their Whitebridge base.
The Stone-based bike store is a proud dealer of Mondraker, Haibike, Lapierre, and Squish bikes and also stocks quality components from Hope, Sram, and Shimano.
Business owner Michael Steele told A Little Bit of Stone about hitting this fantastic achievement.

“It’s hard to believe, but May 2024 marks the 3rd year of the opening of my shop on Stone’s Whitebridge estate.
Coming into the bike market in 2021 was challenging, especially as it was post-COVID. However, it has been a fantastic rollercoaster that I have thoroughly enjoyed.
The support I have received from the local area, especially the Stone biking community, has been overwhelming. What’s even more gratifying is how the local people have shown their support, with my business now having 95 5-star reviews on Google.
We pride ourselves on our key qualities; we’re local, personal, and flexible, which I think people warm to. Being a fully independent supplier means we can source bikes and parts from where we choose.”
When Michael is not working in the shop, he told little bit of Stone
‘I regularly compete in mountain bike enduro races, have competed nationally, and love the great outdoors. It resets my mind and I love nothing more than riding locally too, often you will find me at Cannock Chase or Hanchurch woods’.
Id also like to say a massive thank you to my family for their support, my wife Arlene has supported me every step of the way’.
If I had one piece of advice for any new business looking to start up, it would be to stay positive, as you will be tested.
I’m looking forward to the future, as my business now has a great foundation for future growth. With our new website www.midlandsmtb.co.uk recently going live alongside our new consumer finance solutions, the business has good systems in place to enable further growth.
