While online banking is certainly advantageous and convenient, it has led to a gradual decrease in the use of High Street banks over-the-counter services, culminating in their closure.
The latest casualty is Stone’s branch of HSBC, located on the High Street, which will be closing its doors for the last time on Friday 25th November.
Existing HSBC customers accounts will be transferred to the bank’s Stafford branch at 8 Market Square. Any branch can still be used for day-to-day banking though.

HSBC have an agreement with the Post Office whereby you can use any of their counters to pay in and withdraw cash, or check your balance using your HSBC Business Debit Card (although limits will apply to cash transactions, you should check this in advance with your local Post Office).
