Stone breast screening campaign a success

Stone Breast ScreeningThe North Midlands Breast Screening has announced that there has been a marked increase in women attending breast screening appointments following a recent campaign

As we reported in November 2017, patients who met the criteria and who were registered with the Cumberland House and Mansion House surgeries were invited to attend a breast screening appointment. The breast screening took place at County Hospital, Stafford, between November 2017 and May 2018.

Gina Newman, Health Improvement Practitioner, said:

“We are delighted that we have seen an increase in uptake since we last screened the Stone area in 2014. Client satisfaction surveys from the Stone residents have been extremely positive with ladies commenting that they were very happy with the location and the service that they received.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the community in enabling me to highlight the importance of attending for breast screening. If any eligible ladies have missed their appointment and wish to attend for breast screening, they can contact 0300 123 1463.”
