Partners Against Business Crime in Staffordshire is looking for Stone day and night time members for crime information-sharing initiative.
The Stone business crime partnership is similar to a store or pub watch scheme and is ran by Partners Against Business Crime in Staffordshire (PABCIS), a non-profit making company. The scheme has a membership fee and an option to rent a radio, in order to communicate with other members as incidents happen.
Members of the scheme share crime information on a secure reporting system with each other and partner agencies. This is done via the submission of incident forms and images of offenders from members CCTV footage. Where identified, those offenders are warned in relation to their behaviour or considered for an exclusion notice, excluding the individual from all member venues.
The scheme aims to reduce incidents, particularly crime-related incidents at and near member premises, by exchanging information and working with each other and partnership agencies. The plan being that this will make the area safer for all people that visit and for those that work in the member premises.
Stone has a bustling night-time economy so has a very active night time scheme membership; however, PABCIS is keen to bolster their day time scheme members.
If you’d like to learn more about the scheme or sign your business up, then please contact local scheme co-ordinator – Shaun.Kerrigan@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk or businesscrimepartnership@gmail.com
