Stone Cat Cafe launches fundraiser as Covid leaves them on the brink

Charlie’s Cat Cafe on Stone High Street has launched a Go Fund Me campaign as they struggle in a post-Covid world.

Charlies’ Cat Cafe launched in November 2019 and after an amazing launch and first few months, a series of Covid lockdowns and lack of customer confidence outside of lockdown, a lack of footfall has severely impacted the businesses long term future.

Writing on the Go Fund Me campaign cafe owner Anna Brooks said:

“Hi all of my loyal lovely customers were amazing and helped us get through lockdown and open back up when we could. However we have been hugely affected by COVID and it has left us struggling every week. We are now at the point where we need support for our rescue cats to stop us from having to re home them all and shutting our doors. Please help save Charlie’s.”

The campaign is looking to raise £10,000 and to date, 106 donors have raised almost £3,000 towards this total.

Anna Brooks and CatAnna posted a campaign update on the 9th December saying:
“We have had an amazing amount of support to help us stay open. We will always be so grateful and the cats will continue with their purring therapy. Let’s keep going x”
