Members of Stone Choral Society recently returned from a five-day trip to south-east Poland, where they performed at two concerts and enjoyed exploring and sightseeing, topped off with evening meals with the Strzyzow choir which meant lots more singing to go with the beer, wine and vodka!
They are now gearing up for their next concert, asking what sums up summer for you? Sun, sea and sand? Or maybe tennis and cricket?
Why not get ‘in the mood’ for summer with an evening of jazz and swing, together with the children and parents’ choir from St. Michael’s First School? On Saturday 27th June from 6pm, there’s the opportunity to do just that, at St Dominic’s Priory School’s Priory Hall, followed by strawberries and cream and a glass of wine.
Tickets are priced at just £8 (£6 concessions), and are available from Plants Jewellers or Home and Colour in the High Street. Alternatively, call 01785 817754 or email tickets@stonechoral.org.uk
All right, there may not be sea or sand (and there’s no guarantee of sun) but the Society hope you can join them for a relaxing musical evening.
