On Saturday 17th January, Stone Choral Society are hosting a special Come and Sing event.
The day will include the singing of Fauré’s splendid Requiem, a popular work among choral societies with its soaring melodies and rich harmonies. There will also be a singing masterclass led by Musical Director and voice specialist, Harriet Johnson. This singing masterclass is designed to give you an insight into the mechanics and capabilities of the human voice, and is open to all with an interest in singing in any genre, whether you have years of experience or just fancy finding out more.
Harriet works extensively with singers, choral societies and educators as a prime advocator of vocal health and safe singing. She has a special interest in anatomy and physiology of the voice. In London, Harriet has trained under some of the best voice specialists in the world, and is a member of the British Voice Association, attending conferences and courses to ensure she is up to date with the latest research, information and training related to the voice.
