Stone’s Christmas lights switch-on event will take place in the town centre on Thursday 20th November.
Entertainment gets under way at 5.30pm, with Stafford Radio again compering. Stone’s Combined Schools Choir will perform at 6pm, followed by live music from Matt Blake. Matt headlined the Manchester Pride festival this summer and will be performing songs by The Script, Ed Sheeran, One Direction and more, as well as some Christmas songs too. Matt said: “I cannot explain how excited I am to take part in the lights switch-on, it will be a great honour.”
The Christmas lights (and they will be new ones this year, supplied by Blachere Illumination and installed by Field and Lawn) will be switched on at 7pm by town mayor Cathy Collier and Father Christmas. And, as always, there will be fairground rides, food and lots of stalls.
The event has been organised by Stone Town Council.
