Stone based Target Windows has raised a whopping £1,315 for national charity Dogs Trust, double the amount of the original target, by taking on a mountainous fundraising challenge.

Team Target completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in August, hiking 24.5 miles and ascending 5,200 feet across the mountains of Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, all in under 12 hours.
The family-run business, operating for almost 40 years in Staffordshire, have worked with Dogs Trust for over 10 years, completing installations at several rehoming centres across the UK.
Since working with Dogs Trust in 2011 Target Windows has completed 15 + projects at Dogs Trust kennels at: Loughborough, Evesham, Basildon, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Salisbury, Brighton, Darlington, Cardiff, Shrewsbury, Kenilworth, Glasgow, Newbury and Canterbury. These projects involve installing specially adapted windows and doors in their rehoming centres to help create a comfortable environment for the dogs.
Guy Basnett, director of Target Windows, said:
“The team took on this challenge with a real determination to succeed and to raise double what we set out to achieve is just amazing. I couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved and to support such a deserving charity.”
Dogs Trust carry out vital work running 21 rehoming centres across the UK with the aim to protect over 16,000 dogs annually – focusing on the rehabilitation and rehoming of dogs which have been either abandoned or given up by their owners, of which the charity has seen an increase due to the pandemic, meaning that funds are more vital than ever.
The funds raised by Target Windows will go towards the rehoming centres and make a difference to the lives of dogs who need a home, working to help protect dogs now and in the future.
