The couple who were due to celebrate their wedding at the Crown Hotel before it unexpectedly closed down have thanked people in Stone for their support, advice and help.
Hannah McLean and Lee Hawthorn were married at St Michael’s Church on Saturday and celebrated their wedding at Consall Hall Gardens in the Moorlands after a last-minute cancellation there meant they had a venue!
The couple spent the week before their wedding frantically rearranging transport, accommodation and more to make sure their big day could still go ahead. And they say they received lots of support from people in the town.
Hannah said: “We just want to say a huge thank you to all those companies and lovely people who have thought of us by sending messages, ideas, suggestions and offers of help. It was so lovely to know that people were thinking of us.
“A special thank you to the following people, who have been especially kind: the team at Consall Hall Gardens for caring about us and accommodating us with such kindness; Sarah Gayton and her special Stone farmers’ market gorgeous treats – what a selfless, lovely lady; Lesley at Film Products for her utter kindness; John at Lightening Entertainment for their amazing offer; Dan at Uttoxeter Racecourse for sharing his contact list with us; and Jamie at A Little Bit of Stone for being so caring and considerate.”
Congratulations to Hannah and Lee and all the very best for their married life together!
