A volunteer led youth club in Stone is getting ready to welcome young people back after the Christmas break, with a full programme of activities planned through January and early February.

Stone Crossroads Youth Club runs every Monday evening for children aged 8 to 13, offering a relaxed and supervised space to spend time with friends, try new activities and build confidence. Sessions take place between 6 pm and 8 pm at the Church at the Crossing Community Centre on Station Approach.
The club reopens on Monday 12 January with a welcome back night, easing everyone into the new term after the holidays. From there, each week brings a different focus, alongside the regular mix of games and sports that run throughout the term.
What happens on a Monday night
While each week has its own theme, the structure of the evening stays familiar. There is time set aside for free play, organised games and sports in the barn, as well as table tennis and other activities indoors.
Volunteers say the aim is to provide a safe and welcoming environment where young people can relax, socialise and take part at their own pace. New members are welcome at any point during the term.
The cost is £3 per session, which includes a drink and a biscuit.
Dates for the diary
The upcoming programme includes a mix of active sessions and more laid back evenings.
- Monday 12 January
Welcome back night, a relaxed start to the term. - Monday 19 January

A local space to grow and connect
Stone Crossroads has been running as a volunteer led club, supported by adults who give up their time to help supervise sessions and organise activities.
Parents and carers who are considering it for the first time are encouraged to drop in on a Monday evening to see how the sessions run.
The club looks forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming new ones as the term gets underway.
