Stone dance school owners win Rising Star Worlds Open Professional Ballroom Championship

Oli and Anastasiia, owners of the Sanctuary Dance School, have triumphed at the prestigious Open Worlds Rising Star Professional Ballroom Championship, held at the historic Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Competing against 96 couples, the duo has brought home this coveted title, adding another illustrious chapter to their dance careers.

The Open Worlds competition is renowned globally, attracting elite dancers from all corners of the globe. The Blackpool Tower Ballroom, a venue steeped in history and fame, provides an unparalleled stage for this prestigious event. Known for its breathtaking architecture, the iconic Wurlitzer organ, and a floor where legends are made, it has been the dream of many dancers to perform and succeed here.

“Performing on that floor with the orchestra was incredible,” Oli said. “Winning an Open Worlds title in Blackpool is what every dancer dreams of. The experience was beyond words, and the support we received was overwhelming.”

Oli and Anastasiia not only excel on the competitive stage, but also contribute significantly to the dance community through their ballroom and Latin dance school located at the Sanctuary in Stone High Street. Their dedication to the art of dance is evident as they guide their own children, who also compete in national competitions, towards success.
