Talented youngsters from Stone’s Pop School & Stage Academy provided their singing and dancing skills to help recreate Elvis’s 1968 Comeback Special at a fundraising night on Saturday 16th October.
The event, organised by Staffordshire University in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society, featured internationally acclaimed Elvis impersonator Mark Clay and was held at the university’s Ruxton TV Centre in Stafford.
Elaine Bird, Pop School & Stage Academy principal, said: “The students really made us proud, performing in front of a large crowd and even improvising scenes as the night unfolded. They all gained valuable performance experience.”

The 1968 Comeback Special raised £1,650 on the night but donations are still coming in. If you would like to make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society in honour of the Comeback Special, call Judy O’Brien on 01785 353741 or email j.l.o’brien@staffs.ac.uk
