PGA Professional, Chris Long, is welcoming all to the re-branded Stone Golf Centre after he took on ownership at the end of 2019.
Chris, who had coached at Stone Driving Range since it opened in 2011, took on the ownership of the facility on 1st of November 2019.
As part of the takeover, Chris has rebranded the site as “Stone Golf Centre” and has already invested in new mats for every bay, 12,500 additional Mizuno range balls and improvements to the outfield. Chris’s ambitious plans will improve the facility even further.
The on-site No1 Golf Shop, which store stocks all major brands, will continue to be operated by Rob Grier. The shop offers full custom fitting utilising Trackman – this enables clients to see quantified ball flight information ensuring any equipment they purchase is 100% suited to their game.
Chris Long & Rob Grier offer expert golf coaching at the facility. Boasting a combined 40 years’ experience, teaching individuals ranges from complete beginners to seasoned professionals. Both use launch monitor technology and high-speed video – allowing clients to see precisely where things are going wrong.
About the facility Chris told A Little Bit of Stone:
“Our primary objective is to offer a High-Class friendly and welcoming facility. I really want Stone Golf Centre to be the “go-to” golf facility in Staffordshire.”
