It’s the Young Enterprise trade fair in Stone’s Market Square on Saturday 1st February when teams of entrepreneurs from schools in Stone and Stafford will be selling their products.
There is more information about the event HERE
One of the key tests for the teams is their marketing skills. One of the Young Enterprise teams from Alleyne’s Academy – Ignite, which has manufactured a collapsible mobile phone stand – has already excelled at this by getting their product under the nose of the Prime Minister.
Stone farmers’ market regular Sarah Gayton was at 10 Downing Street recently for a campaign she’s involved with called Sea of Change (there’s more on that HERE). While at Number 10, Sarah dropped off an Ignite mobile phone stand for the attention of David Cameron.
Here’s the bag the stand was in and Ignite’s message for the PM…
Katy Minshull from Ignite said: “At the January farmers’ market in Stone, we met Sarah Gayton, who had a meeting with the PM on the Monday when she went to Number 10. She bought one of our products in Conservative blue, we wrote him a message on the bag, popped him a leaflet with the product which Sarah delivered when she visited and we are awaiting a response from him!”
