A family from Stone won the ‘best dressed’ prize at the Caudwell Children Elf Run – and raised over £100 for the children’s charity too.
The festive Elf Run was held at the Trentham Estate on Sunday 14th December and saw hundreds of people running and strolling – and pushing prams and pushchairs – on a 5km course around the estate to raise money for the Caudwell Children charity.
Stephanie Hemsted from Stone took part with her two children, Ava-May, five, and two-year-old Ryin (in a suitably festive pushchair!). Stephanie said: “It was my daughter who decided she wanted to do it. She then asked family, friends, her school teachers and families who use my childminding services for sponsor ship to do the race to help raise more money. We raised over £100, more than our original target. Ava-May ran and walked most of the 5km – and we won the best dressed family prize too!
“Thanks to everyone who sponsored us – our Just Giving page is still active if anyone would like to donate – https://www.justgiving.com/Stephanie-Jane-Brown2/.”
