The team behind Stone Farmers Market are excited to announce that the Borough Council Market Manager is looking into the possibility of running a reduced Stone Farmers’ Market on Saturday, 6th June.
The Stone Farmers Markets in April and May, they occur on the first Saturday of the month, were cancelled due to the lockdown restrictions however June could see traders and customers back for a market.
Although discussions are at an early stage, the proposal is to host a smaller than normal, food-only market – potentially on Westbridge Park to enable the event to comply with social distancing guidelines.
The team are following in the steps of other markets across the country that have successfully implemented social distancing measures, and they hope to confirm details in the coming week.
Customers and traders can rest assured that close attention is being paid to Government guidelines to ensure the safety of all involved.
If, for some reason, a physical market is not possible there are backup plans to launch a “virtual” farmers’ market to help keep you in touch with all your favourite traders so follow the Stone Farmers Market on Facebook to keep up to date with the latest developments!
