Firefighters from Stone rescued a horse this morning that had got stuck in a water-filled ditch on land off Church Lane in Aston.
They were joined by colleagues from Cannock and Newcastle, and RSPCA officials were also at the scene. A strap was used – and a lot of muscle – to pull the horse free.
