Stone Food & Drink Festival launches new website

To mark the 10th anniversary of Staffordshire’s biggest gastronomic gathering, Stone Food & Drink Festival has launched a brand new website aimed at making it even easier for visitors to find out what’s going on during festival week.

Designed and built by the Stafford Website Company, the new site offers a clean, fresh look and feel that reflects the event’s new brand and has a host of new, user-friendly features.

Festival Chairman Richard Stevens with Penny Gamble of Stafford Website Company

Festival Chairman Richard Stevens said: “It’s almost four years since we launched our last website and, in that time, the festival has grown so much that we needed to completely revisit the structure of the site and how information is displayed. This, hand in hand with the rebrand and the fact that so many people are now using mobile devices, meant that a complete redesign was the best route forward.

“We’ve worked with Stafford Website Company to come up with a website that will not only make it quick and easy for visitors to find the information they’re looking for – with the programme searchable by day, event type and location – but will also streamline the administration side of the site for our team of volunteers; making it easier to add programme information and process online ticket sales. We’re really excited about this launch – the website, alongside social media, has become an increasingly important tool for marketing the festival and we now sell a significant proportion of advance and special events tickets online. This website should stand us in great stead for the next decade of festivals!”

The new Stone Food & Drink Festival website is not live at www.stonefooddrink.org.uk with advance tickets for Westbridge Park already available for online purchase. The full 2014 programme will be live from mid-August and tickets for the festival’s legendary ‘Mangér a Trois’ roving meals and Minibus Real Ale Trails will be available via the website from 1st September.

For those who prefer purchasing their tickets the good ‘old fashioned’ way, the Festival office will open in Stone’s Market Street (by kind permission of Tinsley Garner Estate Agents) daily between 10am & 1pm from Monday 25th August – alternatively call 07564 378 916 or email info@stonefooddrink.org.uk

A Little Bit of Stone has teamed up with Stone Food and Drink Festival to celebrate the 10th anniversary by running 10 competitions to win festival tickets and goodies. Look out for the first competition soon!
