There’s a packed programme of talks from Stone Historical and Civic Society in their new programme, which gets under way on Wednesday 17th September.
Annual membership costs £15 if you’d like to go along to all of the talks. Guests are more than welcome, however, with an admission charge of £2 per talk. All the talks take place at St Michael’s Hall in Lichfield Street.

Hi
Can anyone tell me about St Johns Hospital, Aylesbury, moreover the hospital badge/medal. I recently acquired a nurses hospital medal for a nurse that would have trained at the hospital. It’s oval with a blue suspension bar, with the wording St Johns Hospital Aylesbury & the oval pendant part of the medal depicts what appears to be a male Saint.

In the 1920s my father Ernest Harvey was part owner of a shop in Stone, Harvey & Evans High Class

I would be very grateful if you could tell me who I could get in touch with to find out if anyone remembers it. Faith Withers (nee Harvey)
