The chairman of Stone in Bloom and other group members were in Stone library on Saturday 4th December to chat to residents and show certificates and photos from their gold-winning year.
Stone in Bloom won gold for the third year running in this year’s Heart of England in Bloom awards, with Stonefield Park awarded a special merit award. And two members – Jill Hood and Martin Robinson – got their own special commendations for their sterling efforts.
Stone in Bloom relies on volunteers to turn out on work parties to make our town look ‘spick and span’ for the judges each year. This work is funded by Stafford Borough Council’s StreetScene.
