Stone in seventh heaven with another big win

Stone Dominoes LFC stepped up a gear from last week’s home fixture against Bradwell with another big victory in the return fixture.

Due to the windy conditions, Stone were able to keep the ball on the floor and play some quality possession football. Vikki Garner got the first goal but Bradwell were soon awarded a penalty. Stone’s keeper Charlotte Perry was on form and pulled off a fine save to maintain the lead.

From this point Stone dominated play. Chances came but Bradwell’s keeper managed to keep the goals out. Lydia Bennion worked hard down the wing and was unlucky not to score but she was providing some excellent crosses into the box. Strikers Mollie Prime and Vikki Garner worked well together and scored five goals between them, all after great play in the attack.

Left-winger Holly Fowell took a thundering shot from outside the box, leaving the keeper no chance but to pick the ball out the back of the net. Central defender Beck Arnold took a long-range shot from just inside the attacking half. The Bradwell keeper got a hand to it but the ball crept over the line to make the final score 7-0.

Player of the match was Jules Kendrick for yet another great midfield display.
