Stone Lions are hosting a charity walk to raise much-needed funds for epilepsy charity Gemma’s Ray of Hope in memory of Lally McColl, and Stone support group STING on Monday 28th December 2015.
The entrance fee is £3 per person (£1 for children), with all proceeds going to the two charities. You can also raise extra money by asking people to sponsor you – email darren-mountford@sky.com for a form.
There will be a choice of two walks, starting from The Labour in Vain pub at Yarnfield – a two-mile walk which includes a treasure hunt for the children; and a six-mile walk for the more adventurous – the choice is yours. Registration is between 10.30am and 1.30pm.
So if you’re wishing you hadn’t wolfed that last mince pie or finished the contents of your selection box, the walk is an excellent way to redeem yourself, walk off some of the festive fayre and have fun at the same time!
There will be a discount on post-walk pre-booked food at The Labour in Vain, Yarnfield.
