Police are appealing for witnesses after a Stone man died in an accident on the A51 at Weston on Friday morning.
Kenneth Cockburn, who was 52 and from Walton, died at the scene after his Honda motorcycle collided with a Volkswagen Golf. The collision happened at around 7.45am on the A51 London Road, just north of Weston at its junction with Wadden Lane.
The driver of the blue Volkswagen Golf, an 85-year-old man from Gayton, was uninjured. Officers attended with colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service and two air ambulances. The road remained closed for four hours while police investigated the scene.
