Stone MP, Sir Bill Cash, has today shared details of a letter that he’s sent to the Staffordshire Police and Crime Commissioner following the recent criminal activity in the town.
Sir Bill told A Little Bit of Stone:
“In the light of the problems encountered by people in Stone, I have sent the letter below to Mr Matthew Ellis, Staffordshire Commissioner for Police, Fire and Rescue, Crime and I have written in similar terms to Chief Constable Gareth Morgan of Staffordshire Police.”

Dear Mr Ellis,
I am profoundly disturbed about recent, serious reports I am receiving from many of my constituents.
They tell me of increasing and alarming levels of crime in Stone over recent months – reports of windows being smashed, anti-social behaviour, violence, theft, criminal damage and mindless vandalism, drugs abuse and arson. I am told incidents are being reported almost daily in the community and residents are afraid when the go out and in their own homes. They tell me they feel there is a lack of visible policing in the local area.
I am certain this has to be dealt with at once and I would like to know in detail what steps are being taken and how many officers are being put on to solve this problem. What steps are being taken to ascertain who is behind this and have any individuals been interviewed, arrested or questioned. Because the matter is of deep concern and appears to be organised, what steps are being taken to reassure the affected community, eradicate this behaviour and bring the offenders to justice?
Please could you send me a report on this urgent issue by this evening.
Yours ever,
Bill
Sir William Cash MP

This MP is a total waste of taxpayer’s money – yet the good burghers of Stone keep on voting him in again and again. Its one of Life’s deepest mysteries!

Written from his estate in the home counties no doubt….counting his loose change.
Last time as an MP this time I think.
