Stone mum holds Sling Meet for parents

Stone Sling Meet

A Stone mum is holding a Sling Meet on to help other parents in the town who want to carry their little ones instead of using pushchairs and prams.

‘Babywearing’ involves safely transporting a child in a custom-made length of fabric or carrier which is attached to the parent’s front or back.

The Stone Sling Meet has been organised by Kerry Dawson and is being held at Manor Hill Children’s Centre in Manor Rise, Walton, on Tuesday 7th June between 11am and 1pm.

Kerry said: “The free meetings are for parents who want to find out more about babywearing and get advice on positioning and appropriate carriers. We want to spread the word about babywearing in the local community and enable as many parents as possible to give it a go!”

You can email stoneslingmeet@live.co.uk for more information or have a look at the Stone Sling Meet Facebook group. The Sling Guide website also has lots of information and advice.
