Staff from the Giggles & Wiggles nursery in Stone have handed over a cheque for over £3,500 to the cancer centre at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
In June, over 30 nursery staff walked from the Giggles & Wiggles Newcastle nursery to their base in Stone to raise money for the cancer centre. Tasha from the nursery had received treatment at the centre after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer – she has now completed her treatment and is fit and well.
The nursery completed the fundraiser as a thank you and handed over a cheque for £3646.10 recently.
Nursery owner Jill Jones said: “The centre were hugely grateful for the donation and will be using the money to buy a carbon fibre board which is used during radiation treatment. We would like to say a very big thank you to everybody who walked, sponsored, donated and supported us.”
A huge well done to Giggles & Wiggles for a marvellous fundraising effort!
