The Stone and District Pool League is gearing up for the new season that gets under way in January – and has a number of sponsorship opportunities available for local businesses.

The league has been running for over 30 years now and is thriving, with 16 teams and over 70 people playing every Thursday night from January to November at pubs and cricket clubs across the Stone area.

Current teams include four from The Lamb, one from The Talbot, Langtrys, Stone Cricket Club, Little Stoke Cricket Club, Moddershall Cricket Club, the Labour in Vain in Yarnfield and the Eagle in Eccleshall.

The league also enters a team into Staffordshire competitions from its top players and runs its own competitions for juniors and non-members too.

We are already supported by Service Metals and Griffins of Stone Butchers and we are keen to attract more for 2016.”[/box]
