Stone SP Cricket Club is rolling out the welcome mat for the future stars of cricket with a series of engaging softball cricket sessions, perfectly timed as we edge closer to the cricket season’s start.
The club want to tap into local boys and girls across primary school ages through their “Stone Stars” softball cricket programme.
A Swing at Softball Cricket
Taking place in Alleynes indoor sports hall, these sessions are about learning the game and fostering teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among the players. Here’s a quick glance at the schedule if you want to grab a space for your child:
- Wednesday, 6th March: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
- Wednesday, 13th March: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
- Wednesday, 20th March: 5:30pm – 6:30pm
The club’s experienced coaching team will deliver a range of specific “Stone Stars” softball programmes suitable for boys and girls of all ages and abilities, offering plenty of opportunities to play in matches! Have fun, learn new skills and make new friends!
- Boys Softball: School Years, reception, 1, 2, & 3
- Girls Softball: School Years, reception to Year 7
Moreover, there are FREE “Stone Stars” playing/training shirts for all new “Stone Stars” members!

Friday Nights Reimagined
In addition to these sessions, the club is ready for the return of the much-loved “Friday Night Is Cricket Night”, starting from the 12th of April.

Interested families are invited to the Junior Registration Night at Stone SPCC on Friday, 15th March, starting at 6pm. It’s an excellent opportunity to meet the coaching team, understand the programmes, and register for an exciting cricket journey.
