Stone springs into British Summer Time with sunshine to match

The clocks have leapt ahead, British Summer Time has officially landed, and it seems the weather’s coming out to play just in time.

After a cooler few weeks, the skies over Stone are finally brightening, with sunny days and temperatures nudging towards the high teens by midweek. Not a bad trade-off for losing an hour of sleep.

With the sunshine on our side and the evenings stretching out (sunset is at 7:40 pm tonight!), now’s the moment to dust off the barbecue, pop to one of Stone’s local butchers, and claim your spot in the garden. Or better yet, why not head out?

Stone’s beer gardens are also calling – grab some friends and family and head on out for a mid week pint. Parks like Stonefield and Westbridge are starting to bloom again, and they’re ideal for a lazy stroll, a scooter ride with the kids, or just soaking up a bit of sun with a sandwich in hand.

And for those craving something a little more adventurous, Down’s Bank is always a winner. You’ll find wildflowers, fresh air and a proper hilltop view, all just a short drive away.

The forecast’s looking good all week, with highs of 18°C by Thursday, low pollen, and just a light jumper needed for early mornings. It’s a lovely little nudge from nature to make the most of the longer days ahead.

So whether you’re firing up the BBQ, walking the towpath, or just enjoying that extra daylight, British Summer Time is back, and Stone’s looking better for it.
