Harry Brunt (Labour)
I am at present a Stone Town Councillor and am seeking election to Walton South Ward as that is where I have lived for many years.
I have been a Stone Town Councillor for some 30 years, ‘a veteran’. I was previously a Stafford Borough Councillor for twenty years so I know how things work and I can act as an advocate or get information for constituents when needed. If possible I always get things done.
I am very active in the Stone Community and serve as the Chairman of a Stone School, as Chairman of the Staffordshire Parish Councils’ Association and I am also the Chairman or member of many other Committees in the Town.
I seek your support on election day and can be contacted on 01785 812605 if you want any more background details.

Stone is her first choice for socialising with friends and family.
She is part of the ‘Stone in Bloom’ working group that spends time weeding, digging and planting to make the town attractive for both residents and visitors.
Angie says: “My ambition is for Stone to reach its full potential as a town centre so that it is the perfect place for the people living in and around the Stone area to live, shop, work and relax. I wish to offer my support and help to people with concerns so that together we can make Stone the place to be.”

Margaret Goodall (Conservative)
I have lived most of my life in Stone. Together with my late husband I became very involved in Walton Community Centre. In the 1980s we helped to raise the necessary funds to build the new Presidents Hall and to renovate the Chairman’s Hall.
I still have a great regard for Walton, after being re-elected to both Stone Town Council and the Borough Council I found that I could still achieve such things as clearing the holding pond in Common Lane and helping to get C.I.C. status for the Tilling Drive Allotment Association.
I also served on the committee that was instrumental in saving the Post Office in Stone. My other main interest is in the environment, and I am proud to have served as the Chairman of the Environment Committee of Stone Town Council.

Since being elected he has campaigned successfully for the re-surfacing of Pirehill Lane and Whitemill Lane. He will carry on campaigning until all roads are of a good standard.
Mark is President and an active member of Walton Community Centre. In the last five years he has spent his spare time as a volunteer at Stone Stroke Club, with ‘Stone in Bloom’ and with several other organisations.
He says: “As an Independent councillor I can vote to represent the people of Walton and not at the call of any political party. I live in Walton and care about the people who live there. That is why I ask for your support in both Town and Borough elections.”

Jill Piggott (Conservative)
I have lived in Stone for over 25 years, married to Cliff for 27 years and have two grown-up boys and two grand-daughters. Both my boys went to schools in Stone and my eldest grand-daughter attends Manor Hill School.
I was elected as a Stone Parish councillor in 2011 and have served the people of Stone for the last four years to my best ability. I was elected as Deputy Mayor in 2012 and in 2013 I was honoured to be elected your Stone Town Mayor. In those two years I attended many events in Stone and surrounding areas promoting Stone, meeting lots of amazing people that give their time freely to do so much good work.
I helped with the installation of the Joules clock in Stone High Street, and have supported many events in the town. I am a school governor for the co-opted schools Manor Hill and Walton Middle School where I learn all the time, and take a keen interest in the education for our young people as they are our future. I am a member of the Stone Festival committee and have started a Rainbow unit with the current Stone Mayor Cllr Cathy Collier and progressing through my leadership course with girl guiding.
It has taken five years of hard work to safeguard Tilling Drive Allotments for the community of Stone, I have helped to do this and is now running as a community interest company for the community; I am one of the directors plus company secretary that manage Tilling Drive Allotments CIC and thoroughly enjoy doing this.
Being a councillor working for the people of Stone is hard work which I thrive on and find this very satisfying, I love to help people with any issue they may have. If I can help make a difference I will, if there are times when I can’t I am honest and say so.
I do all the above plus hold down a full-time position at Stafford and Rural Homes in customer services. This has given me knowledge of the problems local people face with the housing/benefits/complaints just to name a few this helps me give a good professional service to local people.
I believe if we all work together as a team we can accomplish many good things for Stone and I would love the chance again to be part of it, and ask for your support.
