At 7pm on Tuesday 25th August Stone Town Council will hold a virtual meeting, streamed on their YouTube channel, to discuss the Promotion of Stone Working Group proposed at the previous General Purpose meeting.
At a special Covid-19 General Purpose meeting on the 11th August, Councillor Phillip Leason proposed the creation of a working group with the towns traders, other interested parties and Stone Town Council.
The proposal was passed unanimously, with all in attendance voting in favour for the creation of the working group.
Tuesday meeting agenda states that Stone Town Council are meeting:
“To discuss the membership and terms of reference for the Promotion of Stone Working Group (reference General Purposes Committee Minute Reference GP20/242).”
A Little Bit of Stone have thrown our hat into the ring and offered to be part of the working group should we fit in with the remit and scope of the group.
We believe passionately in the town and are happy to play whatever part we can to bring residents and visitors back into a safe and bustling Stone.
The meeting will be streamed live on YouTube and members of the public are welcome to observe.

As I am at work when this meeting is going on, could you possibly ask the council why it seems no action has been taken against the owners and landlady of the Crown and Anchor. They seem to have got away with the chaos they caused to the town.
