Stone workers go ‘Crazeee’ for Noddy Holder

Noddy Holder signs a Swanline Print worker's jacket

Noddy Holder spent the day at a Stone business filming a series of video productions – as well as meeting workers and signing autographs.

The Slade legend was playing a key role in a multimedia sales presentation for Swanline Print, based on the Whitebridge industrial estate, which produces printed packaging and point-of-sale displays.

Swanlineʼs Nick Kirby said, “We wanted something different for our new presentation and Noddy with his distinctive voice and personality proved ideal.

“We’ve been planning this production for some time and Noddy not only gave it his full professional treatment, he wowed the staff who queued up to shake his hand and have a chat with him. Heʼs a really nice guy.”

Working to a script and on a tight schedule, the veteran rocker was filmed throughout Swanlineʼs two manufacturing sites and was more than happy to spend time afterwards signing autographs and having photographs taken.

Noddy, who was presented with a bottle of Champagne in a specially designed Swanline carton to commemorate the event said: “Iʼve thoroughly enjoyed the day here at Swanline – what a great bunch of people – Iʼm looking forward to seeing the finished result.”

Swanlineʼs new multimedia sales presentation is due for completion in May.

Got any contacts for him Jamie?  Would be great to get Noddy at the 2012 Music Festival – I was one of his greatest 70’s fans!

    • I haven’t – but I can get my hands on them for you I’m sure! It would be *fantastic* to see him in the town for the 1970s finale 🙂 I’ll get back to you
