Stonefield Fish Bar keeps hold of five star food hygiene rating

Stonefield Fish Bar says it has kept its five star food hygiene rating after an unannounced visit from inspectors.

The Stone takeaway shared the news on Facebook, saying a visit from local authority Food Standards and Environmental Health officers had confirmed its standards remained high.

In its post, Stonefield Fish Bar said it had received a surprise inspection and had once again come away with the top score of five.

The business said the result reflected the work going on behind the counter and in the kitchen, where staff are responsible not just for preparing food, but for keeping the premises in good order day to day.

A five star rating is the highest score available under the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme. It is intended to give customers confidence about hygiene standards at the time of inspection.

Stonefield Fish Bar told customers,

“We are pleased to say that our hard work and high standards have paid off.

“We have kept our 5 star score on the door.”

The takeaway added that the inspection should give customers reassurance about the standards being maintained on site.
