For 2022, the popular Stone Food and Drink Festival is taking place on Westbridge Park on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th of July in a change from its regular slot of the first weekend of October.
The potential for work to start on extensive developments to the festival’s home of Westbridge Park in the autumn has seen the foody event’s schedule pulled forward.
As always, food lovers will still enjoy live cookery demos, talks, tastings, live music, street food, artisan food stalls and family fun – with some exciting new additions to the event set to be announced in the coming months.
Festival Chairman Richard Stevens, told A Little Bit of Stone:
“As many will be aware; the festival is run entirely by volunteers, so when we spoke to the council about the dates for this year and realised we were going to have to bring everything forward three months, we have had a pretty busy time getting everything in place.
The great news, however, is that we’ve had a huge response from traders – outdoors is fully booked, and we’ve already got more indoor stalls confirmed than we had in 2021, which thanks to COVID restrictions, saw indoor space limited.
In short, 2022 already looks set to be a bumper year, and we’re looking forward to the extra fun warmer weather and longer days will bring to the event.”
Full details and tickets are set to be released in Spring via the festival website – www.stonefooddrink.org.uk
