After 6 months in operation, Stone based Studio B Barre Fit has expanded its classes by launching a brand new dance school – Studio B School of Dance – aimed at children from 18 months to 18 years!
At the start of the year, we reported on a new fitness studio, coming to the heart of Stone – Studio B Barre Fit.
As people return to class-based activities the brand new Studio B School of Dance is aiming to provide dance classes to the younger people in Stone.
Laura from Studio B School of Dance told A Little Bit of Stone:
“We are really excited about our new dance school. We will be delivering elite dance training across many genres using highly experienced, qualified dance teachers.
Not only will we specialise in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary and Musical Theatre but also offer Tap, Street Dance and Acrobatic Arts.
We aim to inspire and nurture young dancers development; alighting passion, confidence and commitment. Our dancers will have the opportunity to take part in yearly shows, exams, competitions, associate programs and performances.”
Laura went on to tell us:
“Studio B has a dedicated preschool program – Studio B’s Bumble Bees
The program is designed and created by the school principal, Miss Laura, and is unique to our school.
We follow the wonderful world of ‘Queenie Bee’ and her friends and family. The classes launch the children into a world of imagination, creation, storytelling and dance!
Whilst lost in the world of Queenie Bee the children are not only learning first ballet steps but focus, spatial awareness, fine and gross motor skills, passion and performance.”
Laura concluded by telling us:
“The dance program is child-centred, with all the classes being gender-neutral.
This bespoke and tailored programme has been designed to see children embark on their initial years of dance training, in a fun and caring environment, before joining the main school from age 4.”
