As the end of term approached, Christ Church C.E. First School’s PTFA were firmly focused on fundraising to get ready for the new school year in September.
Their annual Summer Fair was bigger and better than ever with the aim of raising as much money as possible to support more school trips for the children next year.
Stalls and activities at the fair included a raffle, with many prizes kindly donated by Stone’s retailers and traders, a jam jar and bottle tombola, an emoji stall, a penalty shoot out, a nod to Wimbledon with a strawberries and cream stall, and the old favourite – Hook a Duck.
Says Nicki Heath, Chair of the school PTFA, “The summer fair was a great success and, thanks to the lovely weather and the hard work of all our volunteers and staff, we had a fantastic turnout. A special thank you goes to the generous local traders who donated many of the wonderful raffle prizes.”
The school send thanks to the dedicated team of PTFA volunteers and staff who organised the event, and all the parents, carers, family and friends that attended and donated items, the fair was a great success, raising a total of £540.
