A 12-week programme designed to boost wellbeing, offer practical support, and bring people together launches at Stone Community Hub this summer.

Stone Community Hub has announced big changes for summer 2025, including the addition of a new team member and the introduction of a brand-new support programme.
Amey Lloyd has joined the existing team of Kerry Johns and manager Karen Leighton, and from Tuesday, 1st July 2025, the Hub will launch its new initiative Making Your Life Better, a three-day-a-week programme focused on wellbeing, life skills and community connection.
What’s changing?
Tuesday to Thursday mornings, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, will now feature themed sessions that are free to attend and open to everyone. You don’t need to register in advance, just pop in or give the Hub a call to secure your place.
Each morning has a dedicated focus:
- Tuesday: More than a Meal
Join the Hub’s cookery club to prepare meals, share recipe ideas, and help create the first Stone Community Hub Cookbook to take home and share. - Wednesday: Finding Your Way
Navigate the health and care system with confidence. Sessions include guest speakers and local advice on where to turn for the help you need. - Thursday: Working to Wellbeing
A peer support group centred around mental health, resilience, and personal wellbeing—supported by weekly topics (see below).
Weekly focus for Working to Wellbeing
Each Thursday session will explore a different theme as part of the wellbeing journey:
- 3rd July – The Art of Stillness
- 10th July – Food for Thought
- 17th July – If I Am Not the Voice in My Head
- 24th July – If I Am, Then I Must Be
- 31st July – Together We Move
- 7th August – Won’t Go Lonely
