Youngsters can learn songs and routines from hit West End shows like The Lion King and Matilda at summer holiday workshops at Stone’s Rooftop Studios
The workshops will be run by the local branch of London-based Pop School & Stage Academy (PSSA) and will each focus on a different show – cult teen hit Glee, Matilda, Legally Blonde and The Lion King. And there’s a circus skills week too!
During each week-long course students will learn songs, dance routines and scenes from the shows – or, during circus week, a range of skills including juggling, face painting and clowning.
Lion King week will offer an extra-special treat in the form of a workshop from George Rae, who is currently starring as Zazu in the UK tour of the musical.
Whether your youngster has their sights set on a career in the limelight, or simply wants to have fun while building confidence, the workshops are open to all.
PSSA founder Laura Keeling said: “PSSA is all about helping students develop their imaginations while building self-confidence and self-awareness in a safe, controlled environment. They’ll also have great fun and make lots of friends along the way – hopefully, the programme of themes we’ve put together offers something to suit all ages and levels of experience and we’re looking forward to an action-packed summer.”
