A rare opportunity is available to visit and explore the beautiful gardens at Sandon Hall every Wednesday throughout August.
The magnificent gardens extend to over 50 acres, planted mainly with specimen rhododendrons and azaleas, but over the past three years, a considerable amount of work has been undertaken on the Sunken Garden and the rose beds.
Recently a memorial garden has been planted with native trees from all the participating countries who fought in the First World War and Grant, the Head Gardener, has now allocated a four-acre “wild garden” area to encourage wildlife into the gardens – but not rabbits!
Visitors are invited to spend the day exploring nature with dedicated areas of conservation, rose gardens and formal planting and you are encouraged to bring your own picnics and refreshments.
Tickets are available on the door, priced at £3.50 per adult and FREE for children.
