Stone Carnival is calling for teams to sign up for this year’s Stone Carnival football tournament, with boys and girls age groups set to play across the final weekend of May.
The tournament will take place at Stone Old Alleynians FC on Saturday 30 May 2026 and Sunday 31 May 2026, with matches running from 9 am to 2 pm on both days.
Two days of football for good causes
The carnvial organisers are inviting teams from across the area to enter, with a £40 entry fee per team.
Saturday’s tournament is set to feature Under 7s, Under 9s and Under 11s, based on 2025 to 2026 season age groups.
Sunday will then see Under 8s, Under 10s and Under 12s take part.
The event is part of Stone Carnival week and gives young players a chance to be involved in one of the town’s best known community events, with football sitting alongside the wider carnival atmosphere.
Alongside the matches, visitors can expect food, drinks, snacks, a tombola and other stalls.
Profits set to support local charities
Organisers say all profits from the tournament will go to local charities, adding a fundraising element to the weekend as well as the football itself.
How to enter
Teams wanting to take part are being asked to register online.
Entry costs £40, and places are expected to depend on availability across each age group.
