A teenager from Stone walked 25 miles in one day to raise money for the Royal British Legion and the National Memorial Arboretum.
Greg Stanton, aged 15, walked from Stone to the National Memorial Arboretum in Lichfield on Saturday 19th November to raise money for the Royal British Legion Women’s Section and the arboretum.
The distance of around 25 miles took him seven hours to complete and he raised over £600, which will now be shared between the two charities.
Greg should have done the walk in June but broke his ankle at school two days before the walk.
Local shops Bryden’s butchers, Old Road Fish Bar and Hammersley’s cake shop in Walton, helped Greg to raise money by having collecting tins so their customers could donate.
A huge well done to Greg!
