We caught up with Beth Warren to hear about The Wandering Bee moving from Adies Alley onto Stone’s High Street.
A Dream Takes Flight
The Wandering Bee (TWB), renowned for its unique candles and sustainable practices, is embarking on an exciting expansion. Beth Warren founded this local gem during the pandemic, and after a spell down Adie Alley, is moving to the historic “Something Different” location on the High Street. This step marks a pivotal moment in the business’s journey, and you can read more about The Wandering Bee’s roots in this article ->
A new business is wandering onto the High Street this September.
From Humble Beginnings to Historic Move
For years, Beth Warren walked past the iconic ‘Something Different’ building, captivated by its spiral staircase and wooden beams. Little did she know, her casual musings about operating from such a magnificent space would one day materialise. “Last year, I mentioned to my partner, Josh, how much I wanted that building for TWB. It was more of a daydream, but deep down, I was secretly hoping for a larger place,” Beth recalls. The universe seemed to have listened as the opportunity to occupy the building arose, presenting Beth with the chance to expand her beloved business. To her delight, the space was even more expansive than imagined, spreading over three floors with its own car park. “It was a no-brainer,” Beth enthuses, “This move is not just a change of location; it’s a leap towards growth and bringing new possibilities to our customers.”
Space to Grow
The decision to relocate was also driven by a practical need for more space. Wandering Bee’s subscription box service, TWB Subs Club had quickly outgrown its original premises in Adies Alley, with parcels and products overflowing each month. “The shop was overrun by parcels for our Subs Club, which is incredible but highlighted the urgent need for a larger space,” explains Beth. This move will address these spatial challenges, ensuring that both the business and its subscription service can continue to thrive without constraints.
A New Chapter on High Street
The new premises on Stone High Street are a testament to Wandering Bee’s success and a beacon of innovation and community spirit. Beth is excited about the new space’s potential, which will allow TWB to diversify its product range beyond candles. “We’re not just creating a shop; we’re crafting an experience,” she says. The new location will host various workshops and events to bring the community together and offer something genuinely different to Stone’s retail landscape.
An Invitation to Experience the New TWB
With the grand opening scheduled for Saturday, 30th March, the move is certainly creating a bit of a buzz. Until then, Wandering Bee remains open at its current location in Adies Alley, inviting everyone to continue supporting them through this transition. Beth and her team are eager to welcome old and new faces alike to their new home, promising an expanded range of products and experiences that reflect the growth and evolution of Wandering Bee.
A Buzzing Future Ahead
As Wandering Bee prepares for its next chapter, the move symbolises more than just a change of address; it’s a commitment to growth, diversity, and community engagement. Beth’s vision for the High Street premises is not only about expanding her business but also about enriching Stone’s community life with unique offerings and experiences. “We’re hoping to bring “Something Different” to Stone High Street,” Beth shares, her excitement for the future evident. “This move is a dream come true, and we can’t wait to share our new space with everyone.”
Wandering Bee exemplifies the dynamic spirit of local entrepreneurship in embracing change and seizing opportunities. As Beth leads her business into a promising new era, the community eagerly awaits the unfolding of this new chapter on Stone High Street, ready to support and be part of Wandering Bee’s continued journey of growth and innovation.
