Stone Community Hub raised over £20,000 through its crowdfunding campaign to make sure that its vital services for the town can continue.
Donations from individuals, businesses and charities across the made sure the campaign was a huge success – and manager Karen Wardell and the trustees have said a big thank you to everyone for their support.
Trustee Ian Fordham said: “The people of Stone have been incredibly supportive. Their generosity has ensured that we have the funds to keep ‘The Hub’ open at least until Christmas. The Trustees and staff now have the breathing space to put in place activity to ensure that ‘The Hub’ is financially viable in the long term.”
Manager Karen Wardell added: “We are delighted with this result. In fact, we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the people of Stone who clearly value the services that we provide to those in need.”
Being open for the next nine months will allow the Hub to continue to provide support to local people. It can now continue to offer help to people seeking work, debt management advice, health and wellbeing sessions, a drop in café, emergency food parcels and its successful Youth Café.
Starting on Monday 13th April the new opening times will be:

It’s a wonderful achievement! But it’s not free money! Crowdfunding campaigns take a huge amount of hard work – and lots of generosity from supporters 🙂
