Former British truck racing champion Dave Jenkins from Stone will be aiming to claim back his title this year as the new season gets under way this weekend.
Dave won the title in 2011 and was runner-up last year. He said: “We’ve been working hard on the truck and hope to have improved the set-up for the opening race. The new rules will make for some exciting action, particularly the reverse grid where fastest start from the back. That will present a real challenge but one I’m looking forward to.”

The first race of the 2013 British Truck Racing Championship is being held at Pembrey in South Wales on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April). Dave has a new main sponsor and a new all-black livery for the new season. Digraph Transport Supplies are the new main sponsor for the Jenkins Motorsport Racing Team. The Nottinghamshire based company were previously a support sponsor but decided to increase their interest for the 2013 season.

James Rawson, managing director of Digraph said: “We had a great time backing Dave and his team last year and we are really excited to be increasing our level of support for the new campaign.
“I’m looking forward to watching Dave challenging for the championship again in the all black Digraph colours.”
ATE Truck & Trailer Sales Ltd continue their longstanding partnership with the team along with new support from Morris Lubricants, Tyre Tracks in association with Alcoa Wheels, and MAN, the race engine provider.
Principal of the Jenkins Motorsport Racing Team James Jenkins said: “We’re pleased to have a new main sponsor on board for the new season. We’re running the same truck as last season but the team have worked hard on the set-up over the past few weeks and now we are raring to go and looking to get a good start to the new campaign at Pembrey.”
