A major television series featuring the work of officers from Staffordshire Police will be aired on Really, part of UKTV, from this Friday the 4th November at 9pm.
Cops UK Bodycam squad follows the officers as they fight crime & give reassurance to the county’s diverse and contrasting communities in a series of sixteen, one hour long episodes.
All Staffordshire Police officers wear body worn video cameras whilst out on patrol to increase levels of transparency, whilst helping protect both our officers and the communities they serve as well as bringing offenders to justice. The innovative use of Body Worn Video cameras along with observational footage of police work across the county, forms the backbone of the landmark television series.
Jane Sawyers, Chief Constable, Staffordshire Police said: “It is really important to be able to showcase the outstanding day to day work of our officers, often in challenging circumstances. So often, examples of great policing and exceptional detective work go unnoticed and this landmark series will give us an opportunity to showcase not only these aspects of police work but the effective and necessary day to day work of all officers throughout this great county . It will demonstrate to the whole country, the transparency, integrity and professionalism of the Staffordshire Police Force as we carry out our duties and fulfil our objectives to keep our communities safe and reassured”
