Two arrested over Stone graffiti

Two people have been arrested in Stone in connection with the recent spate of graffiti around the town.

Two males were arrested in the early hours of Saturday and they were in custody “helping police with their enquiries”. Fresh graffiti was sprayed in Stafford Road on Friday night but it’s not known where the arrests were made.

Chief Inspector Paul Trevor, responsible for policing across Stafford Borough, tweeted earlier today: “Thanks for all of the suggestions as to what we should do with the two lads arrested for the Stone graffiti….some of them were even legal!”

  • There is also graffiti on the footbridge that spans the A34 as you travel south from the Shell garage island. Not sure if this appeared last night or Friday?

  • Great work by the police and the residents of Stone. Be proud of your town and make it the best it can be.  Now if only we could bring businesses back to the high street!
