Fancy learning how to make your own bread? Stone’s Breadheads and Doughnuts are running four courses this year which will give you all the skills to give Paul Hollywood a run for his money!

Bookings are now being taken for these dates:

  • Saturday 28th May
  • Saturday 11th June
  • Saturday 30th July
  • Saturday 10th September

Each course at Barlaston Village Hall has 10 slots available. A slot is for one, or two people sharing a workstation as a team.

The course – run by Breadhead’s Kris Grainger – covers all the bread-making basics to get you up and running with all the skills you need to make a basic loaf.  You’ll also learn how to make your own recipes, as well as how to knead and shape your dough to make lots of different loaves. You’ll see demonstrations and produce your own bread, in the shape of your choice, to take home.

Breadheads and Doughnuts have been working with Lymestone Brewery recently to create unique ale-themed breads for Lymestone’s tasting events

You also get a folder packed full of bread recipes and guides for making your own breads at home. All the equipment you need is provided, including aprons! However, if you want to take along any ingredients to add into your bread, Kris will show you the best way to do this on the day.

The courses will be held at Barlaston Village Hall and the cost for the day (10am-4pm), is £50 per one or two people on a workstation. It is recommended that you bring something to carry your bread home in and a packed lunch. Tea and coffee are provided.

Breadheads and Doughnuts is also available for private bookings such as hen weekends and for groups and organisations, and offers talks and demonstrations for clubs and societies too.

Kris says “We hope to see some of you soon. Many thanks and happy baking!”
